Orchestral Fixing
By Paul Saunders
As an experienced Orchestral Fixer, Paul has worked with a wide range of ensembles and organisations, including the London Musical Theatre Orchestra (LMTO), the Refugee Orchestral Project, and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
With LMTO, Paul was part of a dynamic management team driven by a deep passion for musical theatre. The orchestra has performed to sold-out audiences and five-star reviews at some of London’s most iconic venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, the London Palladium, the Lyceum Theatre, and Cadogan Hall.
LMTO also leads an innovative development scheme supporting early-career musicians. At least 15% of the orchestra at each performance is made up of young professionals, many of whom now perform in major West End productions such as The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, The Lion King, Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, and others.
Paul’s work with the Refugee Orchestral Project supported an inspiring initiative that highlights the plight of displaced and refugee musicians. The project is both a platform for artistic excellence and a vehicle for cultural connection and visibility.
At the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Paul has collaborated on a variety of productions, providing orchestral coordination that supports student performers and composers at one of the UK’s leading drama institutions.
